A post with NO pictures ?!?!?

Wowzers!! It has been a while since I have done a post. Things here have been super busy! I guess with four kids, school, Kyle's work, holidays, Church, AWANA, dr. appts. time gets away from me. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and long weekend!! Actually so wonderful that we didn't take many pics :) It started Wednesday with both Kyle and the kids having the day off from work and school. So we spent the day shopping, cleaning, relaxing and getting ready for Thanksgiving on Thursday. Thursday I got up at 5 in the morning to go workout and when I got back home everyone was still sleeping so I did my devotions and spent time in prayer. I had an awesome quiet time that morning and I can't think of a better way to start Thanksgiving. When the kids and Kyle got up we had breakfast, watched the Macy's day parade while I was cooking away waiting for my parents to arrive. They got here in the morning and I had some appetizers lined up for a little lunch because I was preparing for the dinner around 5. The kids loved having grandpa and grandma here! My meal turned out great!! Everyone went away from the table with a full belly that's for sure :)
Friday we got up and Grandpa made gluten free german pancakes, did a little shopping, set up the Christmas tree and decorated the house for Christmas! We listened to Christmas music while we decorated and the kids had some Christmas cookies too. Friday night we played some games with the kids, grandpa and grandma. Disney scene it and pass the trash were the games of choice :) We love game time and it brings out the competitive spirit in the house that's for sure :) Saturday after breakfast Grandpa and Kyle took the 3 oldest kids out shopping to Bass Pro shop and a few other places while Grandma, Me and McClain hung at the house getting it back in order after the last two days of craziness. But one of the best parts was yet to come!! Saturday afternoon we had tickets to go to the broadway play "Mary Poppins" Grandpa, Grandma, Kyle, Mayah, Mason and myself all went to the show. I had a babysitter come to watch Madison and McClain because you had to be five years old to go to the show. Poor Madison :( Anyways the play was FANTASTIC and we had such a wonderful time!! We brought back Madison a Mary Poppins purse and she loved it!! She also had so much fun with the babysitter that I don't think she missed us :) After we got home from the play Grandpa and Grandma took us out to eat at Outback steakhouse which was YUMMY!! We had an amazing weekend and we have so much to be thankful for. I love Thanksgiving because it's a great reminder of our need to be thankful in all things! We are so blessed and so undeserving of all we have. It's so humbling to have such an generous, loving and caring God. We are thankful for so many things, and we were definitely missing family that weren't here with us. We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!
